A solo exhibition of Konrad M\u00e4gi\u2019s works was open at the Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna in Rome from the autumn of 2017 to the winter of 2018. This was the first solo exhibition of M\u00e4gi\u2019s works in Western Europe. Over 40 landscape paintings from Estonian national collections and private collections were on display. The paintings introduced to foreign spectators all of M\u00e4gi\u2019s more important creative periods from 1908 to 1925, showing M\u00e4gi primarily as a painter who perceived nature as a metaphysical and sacred space. The exhibition was accompanied by a catalogue, M\u00e4gi\u2019s biography published in both Italian and English, and a children\u2019s colouring book. The exhibition was part of the programme celebrating EV100, the centenary of the Republic of Estonia.<\/p>\n
