Konrad Mägi 140
A conference and gala concert dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the birth of the painter Konrad Mägi (1878–1925), a great figure of Estonian art, were held on 1 November at the University of Tartu Assembly Hall. The organiser was the Konrad Mägi Foundation in cooperation with the City of Tartu.

The Italian art scholar and critic Arnaldo Colasanti, the dramaturge and art historian Eero Epner, the art scholar and writer Aare Pilv, the art scholar Lola Annabel Kass, and the American art scholar Bart Pushaw gave presentations at the conference.

Concert Konrad Mägi 140
The gala concert held in the evening at the University of Tartu Assembly Hall was also dedicated to Konrad Mägi. The Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre Chamber Orchestra performed and the world premiere of Leaving Capri. Homage to Konrad Mägi by Tõnu Kõrvits took place. The pianist Ivari Ilja, rector of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, the soprano Kristel Pärtna and the tenor Oliver Kuusik performed at the concert. Andres Kaljuste conducted the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre Chamber Orchestra.
